Thought of the Moment...
The purpose of this blog is really as a forum to collect my thoughts in writing - I have (inexplicably) been asked by others to do this on more than one occasion. That said, I don't have any interest in using this blog for "tweets" or one-sentence long status updates. Whenever I post something to this blog, it will be lengthy and usually referenced. It takes a lot longer, but I can promise that when blog notifications appear in Facebook or wherever, they won't be a waste of time to read. You may not agree with my writing, but at least you'll have food for thought. - TBP
Why do I bother writing a blog? It takes for frickin' ever to compose a halfway decent article with incorporated references, a total of three people have ever read it, and I have to submit to being called a "blogger" - it just sounds too similar to "booger." I guess the reason is that even though there are already about a billion commentaries on current events floating around, all of them lack one key element: a bored engineer who sits in a dark basement in his underwear writing angry letters to the government. - TBP
